The man has said it himself. Jason Statham has confirmed his appearance as Deckard Shaw in the next 'Fast & Furious' film at the "Fast & Furious - Supercharged" thrill ride red carpet premiere.
Although the film's title is yet to be revealed, it's being called now 'Fast & Furious 8'.
The number one film at the worldwide box office this year, 'Furious 7' has surpassed the collections of the 2012 blockbuster 'Avengers' to become the third highest grossing film of all-time. When queried about this development, Statham stated, "Yeah, it just shows the fanbase is very unique. They really do relate to the characters. They love these characters. They've followed them for years and years"
When asked about if he'd part of the next film, he told, "We're already talking about doing another one, Part 8. I'm a newcomer, I just got invited to the party on this last one. It is nice to know I'll be doing another."
We now know that Statham's Deckard Shaw is locked away in a maximum security prison after the event of 'Furious 7'. When prodded about his part in the next film, Statham remained tight-lipped, but did say, "there is some great stuff that I already know about."
