News has broken out that Jason David Frank of 'Power Rangers' fame has passed away in his hometown in Texas at the age of 49. He is best known for his role as Green Ranger in the highly popular Power Rangers television shows and movies. It is reported by Hollywood media that he died by suicide. His second wife Tammie with whom he has a son filed for divorce earlier this year.

Jason David Frank is survived by two daughters and two sons. His official rep has requested that the privacy of his bereaved family and friends be respected at this sad time. From 1993 to 1996, Frank starred as Tommy Oliver in the television series 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' for about 124 episodes. He went on to reprise his role in several shows and films after that and became synonymous with the Green Power Ranger amongst the fans.

Frank was skilled in several martial arts such as Taekwondo and Karate and was expert in MMA. He also participated in professional martial arts competitions. Celebrities, costars and fans are condoling his death on social media. RIP!
