Jared Leto who is waiting for the release of his Marvel Superhero film Morbius recently revealed that he's confident Morbius will eventually fight Tom Holland's Spider-Man in a future film. In the comics, Morbius is a Spider-Man villain, but the film will portray the character as an anti-hero instead, similar to what Sony is doing with Tom Hardy's Venom.

However, Leto revealed recently in an interview that he is convinced Morbius will one day face up against Holland's Spider-Man. "Holland and I have a date with destiny," Leto added before complimenting Holland's acting ability and Spider-Man depiction. He said, "Well, I think Tom Holland and I have a date with destiny. By the way, just a phenomenal actor, and what a great Spider-Man. I really think he's just a terrific talent. But it would be great to get in the ring with him and go head to head."

Spider-Man: No Way Home shattered box office records and introduced the multiverse into the MCU. Not just that it also became an emotionally connecting film as it had Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man; it also introduced Tom Hardy's Venom into the MCU. After the success of Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius marks another anti-hero entry into Sony's Spider-Man Universe. After numerous delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Morbius is finally set to hit theatres early next month.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa, Morbius will see Leto take on the role of Dr. Michael Morbius, a biochemist who accidentally infects himself with a form of vampirism while trying to cure himself of a rare blood disease. The movie's cast includes Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Tyrese Gibson, Al Madrigal and Jared Harris. Directed by Daniel Espinosa, the movie was originally scheduled to release in July 2020 before Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home but was pushed back due to Covid complications.
