Man stabs school girls with knife, kills one of them

In an attack that happened near the Noborito Park in Japan, a 12-year-old girl was stabbed to death and a dozen more school girls and a couple of other people were injured by a man.
The man, who was reportedly carrying a knife in each hand, began slashing the girls and people on his way in the Noborito Park in the city of Kawasaki, screaming, “I will kill you!” A 12-year-old girl and a 39-year-old man succumbed to their injuries, while the rest of them are severely wounded. The doctors, while confirming the death of the girl and the man, stated that they had both been slashed in the face, chest, and head.
The man was captured by the police, however, before his identity could be unraveled, he died of a self-inflicted slit on his neck. The attack happened at a bus stop at a time the place was likely to be busy with commuters. The children were waiting to board their school bus when the criminal showed up.
Japan is considered to be one of the safest countries in the world, holding the lowest homicidal rates. It is also illegal to carry weapons, including pocket-knife, craft-knife, or a box-cutter, in public.
