Janhvi Kapoor continues to express her deep love and gratitude for her late mother, Sridevi, in beautiful ways. Recently, she paid a heartfelt visit to Muppathamman Temple in Chennai, a place that held special significance for the legendary actress.
Sharing pictures from her visit on Instagram, Janhvi wrote, "Visited Muppathamman temple for the first time...mummas most favourite place to visit in Chennai." This touching gesture is a testament to the enduring bond between mother and daughter, even in the face of loss. Sridevi tragically passed away on February 24, 2018.
Amidst her busy schedule promoting her upcoming film, "Mr and Mrs Mahi," alongside Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi took time to honor her mother's memory. The film, a heartwarming story about two individuals finding courage in each other to pursue their dreams, explores themes of family, love, and the pursuit of one's passions. Janhvi portrays Mahima, a sweet and innocent girl who embarks on a journey of self-discovery.
"It's a story about two people who get courage from each other to follow their dreams. And it's a very lovely story. It's not just about cricket. It's a family drama. It's a father and son story," Janhvi shared.
She further elaborated on her character, explaining that Mahima, despite believing she is living her own life, often finds herself following the dictates of her father and husband. "She hasn't learned to recognize, know and use her own voice. And that is her journey in this film," Janhvi revealed.
"Mr and Mrs Mahi," directed by Sharan Sharma, marks a second collaboration between Janhvi and the director, following their successful work on "Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl." The film also sees Janhvi reunite with Rajkummar Rao after their earlier collaboration in "Roohi."
With her dedication to her craft, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to touch hearts with her performances, Janhvi Kapoor continues to make her mark in the film industry while keeping the memory of her mother alive.
