In an industry where release date announcements don't come well in advance, Janata Garage has been an exception. From day one, the makers have been working toward releasing the Koratala Siva directorial on August 12. And guess what, they are on schedule. Curiously, the film was to have competition at Box Office from another big star - Ram Charan. Yes, Geetha Arts was reportedly planning to release Dhruva on August 12. Thus, there was a foregone conclusion that it's going to a clash between the Young Tiger and the Mega Power Star at the BO.

As luck would have it for Janata Garage, Dhruva is presumably out of race. For one reason or another, Surender Reddy's film hasn't been completed as planned. Thus, the film is said to be there not before Dasara. This is a win-win for both the films and stars.

After Dhruva's exit from the August 12 race, another young star's film was on the verge of joining the race with Janata Garage. It's Naga Chaitanya's Premam. Belonging to two contrasting genres, these films were to lock horns at the BO. However, it's said that Premam won't hit the screens on that date. The reason is the individual who is common to both these films: Dil Raju.

Just what has Dil Raju got to do with one of these two films not hitting the screens on that date? He is distributing both these films in Nizam area and it won't make business sense for him if these films were released simultaneously. So, he may prevail upon the stakeholders to space Janata Garage and Premam appropriately.

On the other hand, NTR's film has competition coming from Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro. Well, the competition is not in the Indian market, but in the US. At a time when NTR's market in overseas is ever-growing (his last release Nannaku Prematho mopped up USD 2.20 million), getting the most out of his market there is crucial. However, with a crazy project from Bollywood releasing on the same day, the potential might just not be released.

In short, it's advantage Janata Garage in the Telugu States, and disadvantage Janata Garage in the US.
