Jana Sena Party has on Monday said that it fully supports everybody who is fighting for special category status. It has expressed its unconditional support to the MPs who are currently protesting in New Delhi.
"We condemn the manner in which some TDP MPs were recently arrested before they could head to the Prime Minister's residence to sit out on a dharna. Some YSRCP MPs are also striking, three of whom have since been hospitalized. We hereby declare our solidarity," the party said in an official statement.
It further said that the way the YSRCP MPs have tendered their resignation is not proper. "Resignations are accepted only when the Parliament is in the session. Not just MPs, but also MLAs and MLCs have to resign from their posts in order to put pressure on the Centre," Jana Sena opined.
"When our leader Pawan Kalyan gave a call for Pada Yatra, 40,000 people recently rallied behind him in Vijayawada. People are with him. Only after this Yatra did Chandrababu Naidu garu suddenly announced a Cycle Yatra," Jana Sena added.
The party condemned YS Jagan's recent criticism of Pawan Kalyan as meaningless.
"It's the responsibility of the TDP and the YSRCP to question the BJP government's failure to honour the commitments to AP. People are of the view that these two parties are failing because they are scared of the cases that the Centre might slap against them," the party opined.
