Jana Sena Part has struck three. It was on this day in 2014 that Pawan Kalyan took a plunge into politics after a 5-year sabbatical. Founding the JSP, during the speech, he spoke about his concerns, ranging from women's safety to his critics' detraction of him through personal remarks.

To recap, Pawan's close aides had sent feelers about the actor's formation of a party for at least a month. It was a foregone conclusion that he will support the TDP in the soon-to-be-held elections. At a time when the Congress' popularity was at a historic low both nationally and in the bifurcated AP, Power Star joined forces with then BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi in giving a call for a "Congress-mukth Bharath".

After the NDA came to power at the Centre and the TDP in the State, Pawan once again went into a retreat, much as he did after PRP's rout in 2009, the only difference being that he was now seen as a victor. In the wake of the Kapu agitation for quotas turning violent last year and the Centre failing to confer Special Category Status on AP, Pawan has mildly intensified political activity.

He has promised that he will contest the 2019 polls for sure, most probably from the backward Anantapur district.
