The coming Republic Day is going to see a range of releases in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

'Bhaagamathie', starring Anushka in the main role, is the most interesting confirmed release thus far. Directed by Ashok G, it is a techno-thriller that will also release in Tamil and Malayalam. The Tamil version has been bought by Studio Green for Rs. 15 Cr.

The buzz now is that Kamal Haasan, who is currently shooting for the last schedule of 'Vishwaroopam-2', will be readying up the spy-actioner for R-Day. An official confirmation is awaited, but the trailer and the audio are expected to be out in December. Its talkie portions will be over by this month-end.

With '2.0' getting postponed, Akshay Kumar's 'Pad Man' (Hindi) is set to be a huge R-Day release.

Competing with Akshay is, most probably, Deepika Padukone's 'Padmavati' (Hindi). After its undue postponement, Viacom 18 has reportedly decided to release it on R-Day, although it might face a truncated market. The film has been banned in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.

Rakul Preet Singh-acted 'Aiyaary' is another Hindi film releasing on R-Day. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film's success may propel the actress' Bollywood career.

Notably, one of the above three Hindi films may see postponement or advancement.
