From the word go, 'Jamna Pyari' is a laugh riot. While the opening song complete with its Thrissur slang captures attention, as the movie progresses, Kunchako Boban and co makes sure that there is no lag in the narrative. The movie is sure t impress the family audience, with its structured narrative and a wining formula, which has always worked well.
There is this flash back which tells of a man who is a do gooder and his tragic demise becomes a loss to the society. His son, Vasoottan, played by Knchako Boban is similar to his father in terms of lending a helping hand.
The entire movie is centered around helping out someone in need. Here, the needy person is Parvathi played by Gayathri Suresh and her father played by Maniyanpillai Raju. The search for a hundred Jamna Pyari goats, which is of a special breed to tide over some financial situation forms the crux of the narrative. Here, Vasootan is not only driven by his helping mentality, but also by his love interest to Parvathy.
Vasootan is really an auto driver and Anumol plays Livestock Development Officer who supplies livestock.Director Thomas Sebastian has done a good job and so has the lead actors. Kunchako Boban as usual impresses. His ability to essay any kind roles is impressive. Gayathri Suresh has done decently on her debut. Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav, Renji Panikar have all essayed their roles beautifully. 'Jamna Pyari' is one movie that is an interesting watch. Rating - 2.5.5
