James Cameron's open challenge to 'Avengers :Endgame' with his 'Avatar 2'

For decades James Cameron has been the king of the worldwide box office even before he said 'I am the king of the world' while receiving the Best Director Oscar Award for 'Titanic' in 1998. His blockbuster hit 'Avatar' released in 2009 became the first in history to surpass the 2 billion mark globally but twelve years later 'Avengers: Endgame' overtook it just this year.
James Cameron has super confidently declared that his 'Avatar 2' set to release on December 17th, 2021 will beat 'Avengers: Endgame' in quick time and regain the high box office record for him. The visionary director has finished filming 'Avatar 3' also which hits the theaters on December 23rd, 2023. There also two more sequels that will begin filming in the coming years. Producer John Landau has promised "You don't need to have seen the first Avatar to see Avatar 2. It sits there and we're gonna take people on a visual and an emotional journey that comes to its own conclusion."
'Avatar 2' has Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana reprising the lead roles from the original with Stephan Lang and Sigourney Weaver also returning though both their characters died in the original.
