English actress Jameela Jamil has said that she almost killed herself last year due to journalist Piers Morgan's relentless campaign of lies and hatred against her. The actress also called out Piers Morgan for his attack on Meghan Markle following her recent sensational interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Sharing her ordeal on Twitter, Jameela Jamil mentioned that the 'Good Morning Britain' host's comments about her had a devastating impact on her mental health. "I almost killed myself a year ago because of Piers Morgan's relentless campaign of lies and hatred against me last February. I'm glad I'm still alive today for many reasons. Watching him leave GMB today is right up there and has me feeling," Jamil wrote on her social media page, along with a GIF of herself posing on a red carpet. Morgan resigned from his position after a heated debate with his co-star Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Jamil concluded, "May we NEVER have to watch minorities have to go on mainstream news and have to *defend* their right to be treated with dignity and respect… ever again. All while being screamed over by this man. @GMB."
