Tamil Nadu has been witnessing an increasing number of supporters, from laymen to celebrities, fighting to lift the ban on Jallikattu the bull-taming sport. From silent protests outside homes to belligerent rebels on the roads, the Tamils aren't quiet about the traditional sport's ban.

And now, popular Kollywood actor Trisha Krishnan faces criticism and harsh forms of protest by a group supportingJallikattu since she has a long association with PETA India which has obtained a Supreme Court ban on the sporting event in 2014.. It is to be noted that the 'Kodi' actor has never spoken anything about this particular issue this year.

'Garjanai', the Tamil remake of Bollywood film 'NH10' starring Trisha in the lead has been through the stages of shooting. The film shoot has been happening in many places like Sivagangai, Karaikudi and Tirupattur for the past fews weeks. Today, in a village named Nemathanpatti, where the film shoot was going on, protesters actively rebelled against the 33 year old actress, allegedly claiming that she has been favouring PETA's campaigns against Jallikattu.

The highly piqued crowd, even went to the extent of making 'Last Respects' posters of her. Trisha, however, was not on the scene as she hadn't made it to the shooting spot today.

Adding to this, the Karaikudi police who had just arrived because of the protest, learned that proper permission to shoot the film there wasn't granted. The police personnel seized the film crew's vehicle.

Apart from the attempt to siege the shooting spot and posters in cheap taste, persons claiming to be the campaigners of Jallikattu. are resorting to abusive tweets and comments against Trisha. The actress however has not reacted to any of these controversies so far.
