Multi-talented actor Dhanush has clarified that neither he nor his family members have any association with PETA, the NGO which has played a vital role in the getting the Jallikattu sport banned by the Supreme Court.

However it is true that PETA conferred the Hottest Vegetarian of the year award in 2012.

The 'VIP' actor in his latest statement says that he considers the award from PETA as an insult.

Dhanush has also reiterated his Tamil identity and said he has become the fan of the youngsters who are protesting for Jallikattu. He also urged the Union Government to pass an ordinance to conduct of the traditional Tamil sport this year.
