Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer', one of the upcoming films with high expectations is progressing at a brisk pace. The film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar is produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music.

It is already official that Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and Vasanth Ravi are part of the cast of 'Jailer' while Saravanan and Aranthangi Nisha are also said to be on board. Later on in the upcoming schedules Kannada Superstar Shivarajkumar, Tamannaah and Jai are expected to join for a crucial flash back portion.

Meanwhile news has come that actor Harish Roy of 'KGF 2' fame has signed on to play an important character in 'Jailer'. The 36 year old married actor revealed last month that he has been battling throat cancer for a few years and recently underwent surgery and radiation therapy. It is said that Harish is happy to have received the role and a chance to share screenspace with Rajinikanth in spite of his health condition.
