Superstar Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’ which was released recently has created box office history in Tamil cinema by collecting Rs. 650 crores worldwide which is one hundred and fifty crores more than the second ranked film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
To celebrate the historical milestone Sun Pictures the producer of the film gave Superstar Rajinikanth a share in the profit plus a luxury car. Director Nelson and music composer Anirudh also recieved swank new cars and extra pay cheques. The production house also gave valuable gifts to the cast and crew members along with a feast.
Meanwhile there were reports in the media that Vinayakan who played the chief antagonist in ‘Jailer’ was underpaid and that he received only rupees thirty five lakhs as salary. Vinayakan has rubbished the rumours and has clarified that he got triple the remuneration that he asked for and he is very happy about it.
