Superstar Rajinikanth has been in the news over 'Thalaivar 169' titled 'Jailer'. Sun Pictures today released a video introducing the lead character from the 2023 release on the occasion of the hero's birthday.

"Muthuvel Pandian has arrived! Happy Birthday Superstar Rajinikanth (sic)," the makers wrote, plugging the video.

We see the 'Kabali' actor getting ready to make a start. He is ostensibly preparing to get violent, as his body language and moves suggest. Dominated by his swag and style, the glimpse makes sure to sound as if 'Jailer' is exceptionally hero-centric.

Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Sandalwood superstar Shivarajkumar has a key role. Ramya Krishna has a prominent role as well. Vinayakan and others are part of the cast.

Vijay Kartik Kannan is the cinematographer. Edited by R Nirmal, the film's art direction is by DRK Kiran. Stunts are by Stun Siva.
