Director Vasantha Balan known for his authentically intense films such as 'Veiyil' and 'Angadi Theru' completed his new movie 'Jail' several months ago. The release of the film was affected by many factors including the coronavirus pandemic.

The issues have been sorted out and frontline production house 'Studio Green' has grabbed the release rights and efforts are on to bring it to theaters soon. A riveting teaser has been unveiled which like all other Vasantha Balan films has a ring of truth to it. The film seems to deal with issues of slum dwellers resettlement and demands that the government answer the people.

'Jail' has G.V. Prakash in the lead role and he has transformed himself into a South Madras slum dweller with the heroine Aparnathi also doing the same. .

Radhika Sarathkumar and Ravi Maria costar with GVP himself composing the music and Ganesh Chandra handling the cinematography. The release date of this class film is expected to be announced soon.
