As we had reported earlier, director Venkat Prabhu's 'Chennai 600028 II' will be hitting the screens on December 9 which is exactly a week away from now.

The film which is the sequel of VP's debut directorial 'Chennai 600028' has acquired a clean U certificate from the Censor Board officials a few weeks ago.

Now Venkat Prabhu who is also making his debut as a producer with this film has happily announced that the film has been granted the 30% Entertainment Tax Exemption by the Tamil Nadu State Government.

That's a fantastic pre-release push for the film as it will benefit the producer as well as the distributors and theater owners and more number of exhibitors will be coming forward to screen the film as it comes with a tremendous tax sop.

'Chennai 600028 II' retains almost all the cast members of the first part that was a sleeper hit of 2007. The film also has Vaibhav, Mahat, Santhana Bharathi, T.Siva, Subbu Panchu, Maheshwari, Sana Altaf and many others as new additions to the ensemble star cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja has rendered the music score. Rajesh Yadav has handled the cinematography.
