Jai changes name to Vijay!

Actor Jai was last seen on screen in last week’s release Neeya 2, the snake revenge flick that also starred Catherine Tresa, Raai Laxmi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and the movie directed by Eththan fame Suresh sank without a trace, and the actor has moved on to his next projects.

Jai had earlier signed and was shooting for his superhero flick Breaking News, and now the actor has been signed by veteran director SA Chandrasekharan who is returning to direction four years post his last, Touring Talkies. This movie has been titled as Love Matter.

Love Matter is touted to be a romantic entertainer, and also stars two female leads – Aishwarya Dutta and Athulya Ravi. This movie happens to be the director’s 70th movie, and reportedly, though the hero’s character name was written as Karthik, Jai requested the director to change it to Vijay, as Chandrasekaran’s movies with Vijay mostly had him playing hero named Vijay.
