Jai is known for his easy-going attitude but still manages to snare important films at regular intervals in his career namely 'Chennai 600028', 'Subramaniapuram', 'Engeyum Eppodhum', 'Raja Rani' and 'Kalakalappu 2'.

One of his most appreciated characters in his career is the sacrificing lover he played in 'Raja Rani'. Now the good news for his fans is that he is reuniting with director Atlee for a new project after a long time. it's worth mentioning that Jai played a cameo in Atlee's first production venture 'Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae' that had Jiiva and Sri Divya in the lead.

Official sources have let out that Jai is playing the lead role in a new movie produced by Atlee under his banner A For Apple Productions. One of Atlee's assistant directors is going to helm the project and the official announcement is expected soon.

Jai is currently starring in two films directed by Suseenthiran and also playing the antagonist role in a new movie that has Sundar C in the lead. Atlee after delivering the blockbuster hit 'BIgil' has currently signed on to direct Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan for a project that is set to go on floors later this year.
