'Jai Ho' is a decent runner for Salman

With the kind of run that Salman Khan has been enjoying since the days of 'Dabangg', what with five blockbusters/super-hits in a row, every film of his is being looked at as the next biggie in the making. So much so that while 100 crore is the bare minimum expectation from his films, 'Jai Ho' was touted as the next 150/200 crore biggie in the making. This is the reason why even though over 100 crore are still coming in for the Sohail Khan directed affair, the general feeling is that the film could have covered a much greater distance.

As of now the film stands around the 88 crore mark and 100 crore would be crossed over the second weekend. Since the film has competition only from Abhay Deol starrer 'One By Two', it is expected that its lifetime total would manage to cross 'Ready' collections of 120 crore. Though this is still a much better number than what most other films even with bona fide established stars collect, the big league that Salman plays in warrants that bigger frontiers are crossed.

Till now the highest that a January release has gathered is Hrithik Roshan's 'Agneepath' which brought in 120 crores. It would be interesting to see how much further does 'Jai Ho' go from that point on.
