It's known thing that Tollywood star Jagapathi Babu is playing a crucial role in Vikram-starrer 'Thaandavam', being directed by Vijay of 'Deiva Thirumagal' fame. Now we have some interesting details about the role.

According to sources, Jagapathi is playing a police officer, who is in search of Vikram. Another highlight is that the Telugu actor will dub in Tamil on his own, as he is well versed in the language.

"Jagapathi could not say no when Vijay approached him with the offer. He was so impressed with the character and the script, that the actor, despite his busy schedule in Tollywood, immediately agreed to do the role," sources said.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, 'Thaandavam' has Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson as heroines.

Meanwhile, Jagapathi awaits a release in Telugu in the form of Kshetram. In this semi-historical film, he plays a character that is both interesting and intriguing.
