Jagapathi as student!

Middle-aged star Jagapathi Babu playing a PG student? Yes. He has donned the role in his latest flick 'Pravarakhyudu'. The film which spans a period of 10 years has him goin to a PG college for studies!

Sceptics may be informed that Jagapathi's performance has been liked by the first-day audience (the film released on December 4). They say that the actor managed to pull through the role with grace and elan. At 40 or more than that, Jagapathi playing a PG student is really interesting.

Though a risky proposition, the adventurous actor dared to do it. Hope the audience suitably rewards him for the effort he has put in for the role.

Adventurous. Yes, he is. If in the past he has played deglamourised roles in films like Siddham, in one of the forthcoming films Maa Nanna Chiranjevi (releasing in this month), he is playing a father. Again in Gaayam-2, he is all set to play the cult character of Durga.

One has to appreciate Jagapathi for getting into experimental mode.
