Dr. Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha Rajasekhar have on Monday formally joined YSRCP.  None other than Jaganmohan Reddy himself inducted them into the party by welcoming the couple in Hyderabad.  

Ever since the 2017 hit 'PSV Garuda Vega', the couple have been in the news for different reasons.  Jeevitha has served the CBFC, while she and Rajasekhar were recently elected as important office-bearers of the MAA.  

Politics is not new to them.  They joined TDP way back in 2000.  During YS Rajasekhara Reddy's rule, the Rajasekhar-Jeevitha duo supported the Congress and joined it in 2009.  After YSR's death, they supported his son, Jagan.  They were associated with YSRCP for a couple of years back then.

Comedienne Hema, anchor Shyamala and her husband Narasimha Reddy have also joined the party.
