Puri Jagannadh has described Jagan Mohan Reddy in glowing terms in his latest statement. Expressing happiness over the "easy victory" of his brother Umashankar Ganesh on a YSRCP ticket, the director said that the war was one-sided.
"It's as if the people of Andhra Pradesh had held a secret meeting to promise each other that they will vote only Jagan. It's not a small thing that crores of people have reposed faith in a leader," Puri, who is currently directing 'iSmart Shankar', said.
"It must have been so hard for him to struggle through the days when he was arrested after the slapping of several cases. He persevered to herald Rajanna Rajyam once again," Puri added.
"Jagan garu has said that this verdict is of the people. I strongly believe that the verdict of the people is greater than that of God. When people want to, they can even change God. He is the God whom the people revere with folded hands," the filmmaker said.
