Jaganmohan Reddy, the chief of the YSR Congress Party and wannabe CM of AP, was on Thursday attacked at the Visakhapatnam Airport by a man working at the airport. He is learned to be a canteen staff.
On the pretext of taking a selfie with the leader, the assailant came close to him, only to stab on Jagan's left arm with a sharp object that is widely used as a 'pandem kodi' instrument. The security immediately nabbed the attacker and whisked him away, and later handed him over to the police.
As per a report, the culprit had quit the job at the airport canteen some two days ago. But since he was yet to return his ID card, he could gain entry into the airport lounge.
Jagan has arrived in Hyderabad after taking first aid at the Vizag airport. He has checked into the Citi Neuro Centre, and a medical team of experts is examining him. The wounds are deep, says a report.
