Jagan announces Andhra Pradesh lockdown

Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday evening declared that Andhra Pradesh will be placed under compulsory lockdown till March 31. "We are shutting down everything except essential commodities," the CM said.
If no more than five people are allowed to assemble at a place in Telangana, the limit is ten in AP.
The CM said that interstate borders stand sealed. There will be no public transportation.
What about the poor who will need rations? Free rations will be given to them by March 29. "We will give one kilogram of dal and Rs 1000 per family to poorest families by April 4," Jagan said, much to the cheer of the vulnerable sections of society.
