A day after director Sukumar expressed a desire to remake 'Jagadam' (2007) with Ram Pothineni all over again, the 'RED' actor on Tuesday said that he can't wait for more of the film. The actor said that it's painful that the film didn't do well at the box-office when it released 14 years ago, yet its memory is beautiful.
"#Jagadam is like that one love failure that you will never forget in life..even after 14years..it’s still a bit painful yet beautiful..thank you Sukumar for this beautiful experience can’t wait for more (sic)," the 'iSmart Shankar' actor tweeted out.
Ram said that Devi Sri Prasad was the soul of the film. He added that cinematographer Ratnavelu's work can never be forgotten.
Sukumar, remembering the film, said that he approached producer 'Sravantih' Ravikishore with the story because he was impressed with Ram in 'Devadasu'. When his first movie came out in theatres, Ram was all of 15. 'Jagadam' was in the making for about two years. There was a gap of three years between Sukumar's first movie ('Arya') and his second film.
Ram is currently working on a Telugu-Tamil bilingual with director N Linguswamy.
