Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has removed all posts on his Instagram page related to CSK’s 2021 and 2022 seasons, sparking rumours of rift between him and the management. This has also led to speculations that Jadeja might quit the franchise.
Jadeja, who was retained by CSK for Rs 16 crore ahead of the mega auction this year, was also handed captaincy duties from MS Dhoni, who served as CSK’s skipper for years before stepping down in the 15th edition of the league. However, Dhoni was reinstated as captain later on in the tournament and Jadeja was released from the squad after he suffered a rib injury during a match against RCB. There were rumours at that time that all was not well between Jadeja and the CSK management, especially since CSK unfollowed Jadeja on Instagram.
Later, CSK’s CEO Kasi Viswanathan responded to the rumours and claimed that Jadeja was released from the squad purely on medical grounds. “Jadeja firmly remains in the CSK's scheme of things for the future, always. Jaddu had an injury during the game against RCB and after that he didn’t play the game against Delhi Capitals. On medical advice, it has been decided that he cannot participate further in this IPL and he is heading back home. He has been released,” he had said back then.
