Couple days ago, actress Jacqueline Fernandez revealed that she'd bring forward an initiative to help the needy people amidst the crisis by joining forces with several NGOs. She has already began working on the objectives of her foundation. On Thursday, the actress served free meals to the needy people and shared several photos of herself looking after the operation and serving people herself. Her organisation, YOLO Foundation will also work towards arranging medical supplies wherever needed and distributing masks and sanitizers to frontline workers.
The act of feeding people was carried out with the help of Roti Bank NGO.
On the caption of her Instagram post, Jacqueline wrote, "Mother Teresa once said, ‘Peace begins when the hungry are fed’. I was truly humbled and inspired to visit Mumbai @rotibankfdn today, which is run by former Mumbai police commissioner Mr. D Sivanandan. Roti Bank has prepared and distributed meals to millions of hungry people till date, even during the pandemic. They are the perfect example of what #kindnessbrigade aspires to do and I am honored to be of help to them during these times. We only live once! Let’s make this life worth it by helping others in need and sharing the #storiesofkindness of those around us!”
