'Aaranya Kandam' Star in C.V.Kumar's 'Mayavan'

As we had reported earlier popular producer C.V.Kumar is busy shooting for his debut directorial flick titled as 'Mayavan'. The films stars Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi in lead roles.
Now we learn that veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has been roped in to play the lead villain in this film.
Shorff has acted in the critically acclaimed 'Aaranya Kandam' and 'Kochadaiiyaan' with Superstar Rajinikanth. His performance as a ageing don in the former received widespread appreciations among Tamil audience and critics. 'Mayavan' will be the 'Rangeela' actro's third direct Tamil film
Kumar has confirmed Jackie Shroff's inclusion. He has said that Shroff was instantly inspired by the script and the role offered to him and immediately accepted the offer. He is expected to start shooting for the film in Chennai from April 4.
Director Nalan Kumarasamy of 'Soodhu Kavvum' and 'Kadhalum Kadandhum Pogum' fame has penned the screenplay and dialogues for 'Mayavan'. Ghibran is working on the musical score.
The shoot of 'Mayavan' touted as a commercial entertainer is fast progressing in Chennai.
