Jackie Shroff loved playing colourful, fun-loving villain in 'Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend'

After playing different grey characters in different movies like 'Aurangzeb', 'Happy New Year' amongst others, Bindaas Bhidu Jackie Shroff will be seen essaying the role of a Punjabi Crooked Businessman' with the shades of comedy for the first time ever on silver screen. With Japinder Kaur's 'Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend' (DZG), Jackie is set to surprise his fans with a fun-lighthearted baddie character.

Jackie time and again revealed that he always wanted to play a baddie or wicked character on-screen and now he is seen doing the same. Well, Jaggu Dada is literally living up his dream these days! "I always loved playing villainous roles and I have also done in the past in the films like Parinda, Mission Kashmir, Swami Dada, 100 Days, etc...But the kind of grey characters I am playing right now is fun. I had a whale of a time playing a baddie with comic shades for the first time in DZG. It was hilarious and amazing experience. I love such colourful, fun-loving villains," said the actor.

When asked about the character of Minocha, which Jackie is said to essay, Japinder said, "When I had decided to cast him in the role of a Punjabi Businessman in DZG, a lot of people told me it wasn't a wise decision. However now that the film is complete the very same people are saying it is one of the best casting they have seen off late."

Produced by Manjeet Kaur & Tarnpreet Singh, DZG also stars Divyendu Sharma, Ira Dubey, Prachi Mishra, Pradhuman Singh and others and is set to release on 20th March, 2015.
