Day in and day out, we have been reading about celebrities and fans praying for the speedy recovery of Superstar Rajinikanth, who has been hospitalised for breathing and other difficulties.

On Monday, popular Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, who was in Chennai to promote his first direct film ‘Aaranya Kaandam’, joined the list. “I sincerely wish Rajini should get well soon,” he told reporters.

Recalling his association with the Superstar, Jackie said, “We share a longtime friendship ever since we acted in a Hindi film together. I admire him a lot and he still has a lot to contribute to the industry.”

Meanwhile, as many as 25 ardent fans of Rajinikanth firewalked at a temple in Madurai on Monday and prayed for his speedy recovery. For over a week now, fans from across India have been holding special prayers and other spiritual rituals.
