Actor Jackie Shroff will soon be working in small ad films to campaign against AIDS and also plans to rope in other Bollywood celebrities to spread awareness about the disease.
"I plan to work for a project on small ad films for the campaign against AIDS," said Shroff. He said like campaigns on polio eradication, small ad films on TV against AIDS would reach millions of people, particularly the youth.
Shroff, sporting a beard and a red teeka on his forehead, also hinted that he would involve other Bollywood actors and actress in the campaign.
He launched an AIDS awareness campaign here Wednesday called "Jeevan Hai Anmol", sponsored by Unicef. He pointed out that AIDS was spreading fast in India and the world. There are 5.1 million HIV/AIDS cases in India.
Shroff said he had growing children himself and wanted to protect them from AIDS.
"Look I am selfish like any father - I want to protect my two sons from AIDS, so I jumped into this awareness campaign on AIDS."
