Global Superstar Jackie Chan is entering politics - details

In the recent past, we have seen many actors entering politics with Kamal Haasan the most notable in Tamil Nadu. Now the latest veteran entertainer who has expressed his desire to enter the political arena is none other than global superstar Jackie Chan.

The centenary celebrations of the Communist Party of China (CPC) were held in Beijing on July 1st and Jackie Chan was one of the dignitaries who attended the symposium in his capacity as the vice-chairman of China Film Association.

Reacting to the keynote address of the Chinese President Xi Jinping, the 67-year-old Chan stated I can see the greatness of the CPC, and it will deliver what it says, and what it promises in less than 100 years, but only a few decades, I want to become a CPC member,

Jackie Chan who received flak for supporting the crackdown by the Chinese government on pro-democratic forces in Hong Kong also said in 2019 I have visited many countries, and I can say, our country has been rapidly developing in recent years. I feel pride in being Chinese wherever I go, and the Five-starred Red Flag' is respected everywhere around the world. Hong Kong and China are my birthplaces and my home. China is my country, I love my country, I love my home. I hope that Hong Kong can return to peace soon.
