During his appearance on a Chinese TV show called ‘The Negotiator’ over a year ago, Jackie Chan had an overwhelmingly emotional reaction on being reunited with his original stunt team that was formed in the late 1970s. Their unannounced appearance stunned him momentarily, following which he was moved to tears.

The Chinese entertainment show that hosted the martial artist aired a video featuring interviews of his former stunt team members, who recalled their fond memories filming with him. The JC Stunt Team members spoke about the kindness and generosity that Jackie Chan had shown them over the years. The legendary martial artist, who was already moved by the video, expressed how it had been so long since he saw the original members of the stunt team and thanked them for their loyalty and devotion. While he was in the middle of making the speech, he turned around to acknowledge the team he had then been working with (5:02) when he realized that the members from his original stunt team had lined up behind him while he wasn’t looking. His instant shock wore off when one of the members called him “brother,” which overwhelmed him as he tearfully hugged the men.

Jackie Chan, in the late 1970s, came together with a bunch of actors and stunt performers, and formed The Jackie Chan Stunt Team, who worked with him on his films for years. The martial artist made sure they were looked after even as his fame grew.
