Guntur Talkies, better known as the film that kick-started Rashmi Gautham's third innings in film biz, is all set to have a sequel. Probably encouraged by the response it got, the producer-director duo have decided to go beyond the edition without (most likely) radically changing the texture.

Producer Raj Kumar of RK Studios that "the second edition will be made in a more entertaining way and the some more senior artistes will be cast".

Naresh and Mahesh Manjrekar, between them, will take care of a lot of laughs.

Siddhu and Shraddha Das will be back with their quirks. Praveen Sattaru of the National Award-winning Chandamama Kathalu fame is dealing with a sequel for the first time.

Mahesh Manjrekar played a trigger-happy, menacing villain, while Shradda Das was a suggestive damsel in the first part.
