DMK MLA J Anbazhagan, who had been infected with the deadly Coronavirus and was on ventilator in Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre at Chromepet, has passed away today at 8:05 AM, after his health condition worsened yesterday.

Anbazhagan's health had major deterioration since Monday and his oxygen requirement shot up again, besides deterioration of his cardiac function as well, demanding medicine support for blood pressure. Anbazhagan's existing chronic kidney disease was also worsening and he was critical, reported the hospital’s chief executive officer Dr Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy.

Anbazhagan had been getting 90% oxygen on ventilator and had improved to 40% before two days, but the situation turned critical on Monday again.Anbazhagan, 61, was admitted to Rela hospital on June 2 with respiratory issues and was diagnosed Coronavirus positive.
