'Global Prabhas Day' is what the birthday of Prabhas is going to be called from now. If Prabhas came to be referred to as 'Darling' after 'Bujjigadu', his birthday will be a global day after the teaser of 'Radhe Shyam'. On October 23, Prabhas' fans will celebrate the GPD and it is going to matter more than GDP to them.

The naming of the birthday has caught many unawares. When the makers of 'Radhe Shyam' today used the hashtag for the first time, it escaped the attention of most. But, slowly, die-hard fans spotted it and made it a trend on Twitter.

The use of the word 'global' in a birthday has been dubbed bombastic and pompous by some. A Facebook user, who is least interested in any hero, said that it's like saying November 14 is Global Nehru Day. "It doesn't make any sense and is actually unintentionally silly," he quipped.

Whatever it is, one has to trust the spirit of cine fans, who will not stop at anything to give a demi-God status to superstars. Prabhas, for all we know, is the biggest Telugu star today with a pan-India market. So, some over-indulgence is par for the course, at least on social media.
