Suriya's 'Bandobast', which is 'Kaappaan' in Tamil, has been scheduled to release on September 20.  Directed by KV Anand, it also features Mohanlal, among others.  One of the awaited releases, this one is set to have a big release.

When one thought Suriya's 'Bandobast' is going to have a solo release (it was postponed from August 30 to Sept 20), our sources say  that 'Valmiki' is going to join it on Sept 20 in the Telugu States.  The Mega hero's film, directed by Harish Shankar, has moved its release date from the 13th for a few reasons.  An official announcement regarding the postponement is awaited.  

'Valmiki' was the first one to announce its release date as the 13th.  With 'Saaho' getting postponed, Nani's 'Gang Leader' was postponed to the 13th.  Thus, a clash at the box-office was seen inevitable.  Many on social media didn't like this clash to happen.  The makers of 'Valmiki' felt that 13th is not an appropriate date.  In Karnataka, 'Kichcha' Sudeep's 'Pehelwaan' is going to have a big release on Sept 12 and it has earned a lot of buzz already.  The Mega fans in the Kannada state have conveyed to the makers of 'Valmiki' that a clash with 'Pehelwaan' wouldn't be advisable.  

In view of these developments, 'Valmiki' has been pushed to September 20.
