Shankar Ramakrishnan, an associate to director Renjith, who also fared well as the scriptwriter of 'Urumi', was destined to start his acting career with the movie 'Leela' which was planned to be on sets in a six months. But scenes behind cinema often change much easier than they do on screens. Now the actor is called in by his mentor Renjith to don the meaty role that he has penned for Prakashraj. The Tamil actor has recently declined the offer to act in this movie titled 'Spirit' with superstar Mohanlal, citing schedule clashes. And the latest news is that Shankar Ramakrishnan will debut to cinema acting playing the same role.

'Spirit' will be a satirical run through the increasing habits of alcoholism among malayalees which is taking much of their times and money. The movie will be on sets in a couple of weeks.
