The Malluwood would witness an interesting battle between directors Shaji Kailash and Blessy.

This Christmas, Shaji Kailash's Baba Kalyani starring Mohanlal would hit the screens, while Blessy's Palunku would be released simultaneously.

The former is an action-packed commercial entertainer, while the latter is an emotional film.

Baba Kalyani has Mamta Mohandas playing the heroine, while Palunku features Kannada actress Lakhmi Sharma.

It may be recalled that a couple of years ago, Shajil Kailash came out with Natturajavu starring Mohanlal on Christmas day while Blessy had his Kazhcha starring Mammooty releasing the same day.

Both the directors are confident that their movies would be appreciated by the film-buffs.
