Its Kannada actresses time in Tollywood

Tollywood has always welcomed actresses from other states and industries. Those from places as different as Punjab, Mumbai, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have become big stars in Telugu cinema. Despite not knowing the language, they have ruled the Telugu hearts with their performances, glamour and choice of roles. In recent times, we have seen the likes of Sai Pallai and Keerthy Suresh from TN and Kerala rising in stardom.

But Karnataka has thrown up lesser number of star heroines in recent years. But just in this year, two Kannada girls have offered so much promise in Tollywood. If Rashmika Mandanna is one, Nabha Natesh, who has debuted today with 'Nannu Dochukunduvate', is the other one.

While Rashmika has already delivered two hits ('Chalo' and 'Geetha Govindam') and has two more releases in the coming months ('DevaDas' and 'Dear Comrade'), Nabha just had a great start. In 'ND', she has played a bubbly college-going actress in whose world short films have a pride of place. 'Adhugo' is her next release and it's coming during the Dasara season.

Karnataka has produced super-talented heroines like late Soundarya and Anushka Shetty. Since many Kannadigas have fair knowledge of Telugu, it always helps.
