As reported earlier, Mollywood Superstar Mohanlal and veteran director Shaji Kailas are reuniting for an upcoming movie titled 'Alone'. “The wait is finally over! It's with great excitement and happiness that I announce my next project with Shaji Kailas which starts rolling in Oct 2021. This film scripted by Rajesh Jayram and produced by @antonyperumbavoor under the banner of @aashirvadcine has me and Shaji getting together after 12 long years. Am sure it's going to be worth the wait!” Mohanlal shared, while announcing the project. The shoot of the ambitious movie was wrapped up on Friday and the team has shared the exciting news through their official social media handle. “After 18 days of shooting, we have finally done and packed up our movie ‘#Alone’. Grateful to the entire cast and crew, for the smooth completion of the project. #AloneMovie @Mohanlal #ShajiKailas @antonypbvr @aashirvadcine,” the team tweeted. Filmmaker Shaji Kailas too expressed happiness on completing the shoot in a matter of days. He shared that the proper planning and execution have helped the team to complete the project in just 18 days.

Helmed by Shaji Kailas, ‘Alone’ is scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman. The film which marks the 30th movie from Aashirvad Cinemas marks the reunion of the superstar and the director after a gap of 12 years. Coming to the technicalities, Abinandhan Ramanujam is the cinematographer and Don Max is in charge of the edits. Jakes Bejoy is handling the music department. The movie went on floors on September 27, and Mohanlal is expected to join the sets soon. As the Mohanlal-Shaji Kailas duo has given several blockbusters in the past, such as ‘Narasimham’, ‘Natturajavu’, ‘Baba Kalyani’ and 'Red Chillies', cinephiles are eagerly waiting for their upcoming film.
