Among the Pongal releases this year, the G. V. Prakash starrer 'Darling' has been outright the biggest surprise as everybody seems satisfied with the movie. The Box Office collections have been a valid proof so far.

'Darling' initially started its run at 16 shows a day here in Chennai and then has shot up to 44 screenings every day. In addition, the theatre count has also extensively shot up all over Tamil Nadu with over 45 theatres screening every day. So far, the G. V. Prakash, Nikki Galrani and Karunas starrer has been an unannounced surprise for distributors everywhere.

With all three Pongal releases, 'I', 'Aambala' and 'Darling' enjoying a good run, theatre-owners have decided to not take down the movies. As a result, the movie 'Dharani' due for release this week has been postponed all of a sudden by the movie's production house Dreams Media'.
