Item numbers have become common feature in Malayalam filmdom and several Malayalam actresses have are also evincing interest in doing item numbers.

Nayantara made an appearance in Vijay's Sivakasi. Jyothirmayi appeared for a special number in Idhaya Thirudan.

In director Joshi's Janmam, Sada appeared for an item song. Meghna Naidu did an item number in Suresh Gopi's Bada Dost.

In his new film, Suresh Gopi has some very colorful song sequences. One features the film's heroines Meena and Karthika. The other one has Suja and Jennifer.
