Looks like B Jaya, one of the few reputed lady filmmakers in South India, is gearing up to deliver yet another rom-com hit. Vaisakham is currently being shot and the first look is like the title of her last movie - 'Lovely'. Well, the maker of sensible entertainers like Chantigadu and Lovely has a track record of her own. The Hindi version of the 2012 film Lovely, starring Aadhi and Shanvi, set a record on You Tube by crossing two million hits in Jan this year. The Hindi version, titled as 'Vijay Meri Hai', has gone on to cross this record on You Tube, a rare feat for a Telugu film dubbed into Hindi.

With this admirable body of work, the director is making Vaisakham with (mainly) new casting. While the hero Harish will be a new face, the heroine Avantika Mishra has done the film Maaya before. It is being produced under the banner owned by star PRO BA Raju.

As for the just out First Look, the pretty faces of the lead pair invite us to expect a clean, sensible rom-com from the director. The celebratory mood aside, nice visuals are in the offing.

The film was shot for 15 days in the Central Asian country of Kazaksthan; this is the first Indian film to have been shot in that country. The producer says that Valisetty Venkata Subbarao's cinematography will be a highlight. Touted to become a musical hit (music is by DJ Vasanth) as well, the film has Dialogue King Sai Kumar in a key role.
