In its official statement meant to deny the rumours that PVP Cinema is closing shop in Chennai, the production house has come out strongly against the "day dream of vested interests", besides re-asserting its indomitable spirit.

"There were rumours pertaining to PVP Cinema in some sections of the media that we are contemplating to call it quits in the Tamil film industry. We are aware of the fact that it is a day dream of certain vested interests," the statement began with a fierce tone.

"We are a seasoned production house and we are fully aware of the low and high tides in the industry. An occasional drawback can never spell doom to an established firm like ours. We have a very important line of films, including one in much-expected hero-director combination, which possibly is going to be the biggest of our times. May we request your good self to ignore the dirty rumour on our company's closure," the statement said.

The film in the hero-director combination is the Mahesh-Vamsi Paidipally one.
