The pre-release event of 'Geetha Govindam' was held on Sunday at Vizag's AU University. Allu Aravind's speech was peppered with emotionalism in the wake of the film's clippings getting leaked recently.

"Because of the inefficiency of our service producer, some clippings related to our movie have got leaked. It started with one youngster before the pirated clippings were shared by many others. It pains me to tell you that 17 students have been arrested so far. You may think that you can share things in a friendly way with others. But you have to know that it's a crime to share pirated videos.

It pained me so much to have police arrest those 17 students. But we had no other option to stem the spread of piracy. Even today, police have raided a hostel in Vizag regarding piracy. I warn you guys not to risk anything by inviting the wrath of Vijay Deverakonda's fans. I am not saying that the actor's fans have to beat others," Allu Aravind said.

"Not just our film but also three other upcoming movies have become victims of piracy. I am pained to say this. I warn you to never dare to spread piracy because technology makes it possible to trace your IP address," the producer added.

"Today, seeing the crowds cheer for Vijay Deverakonda, I am as happy I used to be to see the response to Chiranjeevi garu's speeches. I can see that Vijay Deverakonda will do 100 films. He is versatile. He is going to be a frontline actor soon.

We stopped the shoot of 'Geetha Govindam' for 3 months because we didn't have Rashmika Mandanna's dates! The director insisted that only she should do this role. She competed with Deverakonda in giving her best," the producer said.

Aravind appreciated the efforts of director Parusuram, saying that he will direct one more film in his banner. He described Bunny Vas as a gem. He said that AP Minister Ghanta Srinivas Rao has been his friend for more than a decade.
